No child ever wants to admit an adult is right but … Briggs Fussy’s godmother sure knew what she was doing when she paired him up with Brittney Husbyn 20 years ago. As 3-year-olds, the pair walked down the aisle together at their godmother’s wedding as flower girl and ring bearer. Two decades later, on Jan. 10, they returned to church – for their own I Do’s.

“All fate for sure,” the bride told CNN. Still, it took a while for them to get to their happy ending.
STORY: Mom-to-Be Found Future Kids on FacebookThe duo first reunited when he transferred into her school, Blaine High School outside Minneapolis, and they found themselves in ninth grade government class together. Brittney says she knew the minute she heard his name that this was the boy with her in an old picture her mom had framed. “She turned around one day in class and said, ‘I think I have a picture of you on my wall at home,’” Briggs told Fox News. Later meeting his mom, Britnney says she discovered she was up in their home too: “His mom whips this picture off of his wall. She’s like, ‘I’ve had a picture of you up in my house forever.’”

By junior year the two were dating but had to separate when Briggs enrolled in college at the University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse, and Brittney attended Minnesota State University, Mankato. They made long-distance love work for a few years, until Briggs transferred to join Brittney at Minnesota State, where both are studying for degrees in economics and elementary education.
